Player Evaluation
Each participant will be given an evaluation by his coach at the end of the session.
Adidas Pro Shop
Adidas merchandise as well as other apparel and shoes are available. Players can get any last minute soccer items they forgot to bring.
Airport Pick-Up
Players who need to get picked up from the airport must contact us before camp. A faxed airline itinerary is required. Round trip charge: $40 ($20 one way). Nearest airport: Roanoke (35' drive) Phone: 540-231-7143 Fax: 540-231-3613
All-Star Games
On the second last day of the Academy, we will have All-Star games between 8:15 and 9:15 PM in the VT Soccer Stadium under the lights. Anyone is welcome to attend and watch.
Camp Bank
We offer a Camp Bank system at the Academy. Players may deposit monies by check or cash and withdraw any amount at any time. It's a safe way to leave money with each camper.
Camp Ball
Each year, we offer all campers an attractive camp ball for purchase. Balls cost $20.00 each. Pre-ordering is strongly recommended as you will be guaranteed a ball.
Camp Store
Our Camp Store offers light snacks, drinks, and pizza in the evenings. The Camp Bank (Campers' money) is also in the Camp Store.
Camp T-Shirt
All players will receive two T-shirts when attending any Academy session.
Campus Tour & Picnic
The entire Academy will take a short campus tour (20 min.) one of the afternoons after training. Instead of dinner that day we'll serve a sandwich meal, drinks, and chips on the Drill Field, in the heart of Virginia Tech's scenic campus.
College Recruiting Seminar (Senior Academy – Only)
This seminar takes place in the Merryman Auditorium. We illustrate the process for college bound student-athletes. We talk about academic and athletic requirements, the difference between levels of play in college, the type of universities that exist, and any related topic. We use the Academy's staff coaches to talk about their experiences with players, college programs, and conferences. All questions will be answered.
Laundry
Washing machines and dryers are available in the basement of all residence halls. All machines are coin operated. Campers should bring soap.
Room Key and Deposit
Each camper will receive his own room key. We will provide a lanyard with it. During check-in a $50 key deposit is required (check or cash). The deposit will be returned when the key is turned in during check-out.
